Richlam® Bionic Self-Healing Waterproofing System
Richlam200 Self-Healing Waterproof Additive
Cement-Based Self-Healing Concrete Waterproofing Admixture
Product Overview
Richlam200 Self-Healing Waterproof Additive is a crystalline concrete waterproofing agent added during concrete production at a dosage of 0.8-1.5% of the cement content, typically 3 kg/m³. This additive is mainly used for waterproofing and anti-corrosion in concrete structures. Formulated with high-activity crystalline growth factors, catalysts, and special additives, Richlam200 features penetrating crystallization and crack self-healing capabilities. Concrete treated with Richlam200 exhibits significantly improved durability, leading to substantial savings in maintenance costs.
Features
-
Automatic healing of concrete cracks, reducing or eliminating the need for later maintenance and repair costs.
-
Genuine structural waterproofing, capable of withstanding high hydrostatic pressure, enhancing concrete's resistance to permeability under high water pressure.
-
Corrosion-resistant, enhancing protection against carbonation, acid and alkali, seawater, and sulfate corrosion.
-
Enhances overall concrete performance, extending the structure's lifespan.
-
Inorganic material, environmentally friendly, safe, non-toxic, VOC-free, and compliant with drinking water standards.
-
Excellent breathability, preventing moisture ingress while avoiding the accumulation of internal concrete vapor.
-
Concentrated product, highly efficient, excellent dispersibility, and easy to add.
Technical Advantages
-
Richlam200 contains high-activity crystalline growth factors with a unique nano-molecular structure, providing strong penetration capabilities. It penetrates up to 30mm into concrete quickly through water as a carrier.
-
Research shows that the alkali content inside concrete is approximately 360 times higher than on the surface. Richlam200's water-based nature allows deep penetration, reacting with more alkaline substances to generate additional crystals, thereby enhancing concrete density.
-
Crystalline deposition at crack sites allows for automatic repair of concrete cracks up to 0.6mm.
Compliance Standards
-
ASTM C494/C494M: Standard Specification for Chemical Admixtures for Concrete.
-
ICC-ES AC198: Acceptance Criteria for Concrete Admixtures Used in Waterproofing.
-
ACI 212.3R-10: Report on Chemical Admixtures for Concrete.
Before self-healing
Concrete components develop through-cracks due to damage
During self-healing
Concrete with Richlam200 formed many crystals at the cracks after one month in a natural environment
Application Fields
Richlam200 Self-Healing Waterproof Additive is suitable for all concrete exposed to water pressure, applicable in precast, cast-in-place, and shotcrete applications.
-
Anti-carbonation projects for hydraulic concrete in alternating wet and dry environments: dams, sluice gates, urban flood control, water channels, pumping stations, locks, pumped-storage power stations, dam panels.
-
Anti-corrosion projects for concrete in marine, coastal, and saline-alkali environments: ports, aquariums, swimming pools, seawalls, sewage treatment tanks, incineration pools, petrochemical structures.
-
Anti-seepage and waterproofing projects for roads, bridges, tunnels, and underground spaces: highways, urban bridges, traffic tunnels, municipal corridors, underpasses, underground civil defense, parking garages, subway stations.
-
Shotcrete and precast concrete components: shotcrete linings, subway segments, concrete tanks, underground culverts, underground pipes.
Usage Instructions
-
Dosage: Richlam200 Self-Healing Waterproof Additive is added at 0.8-1.5% of the cement content, typically 3 kg/m³ of concrete.
-
The additive should be added by dedicated personnel at the concrete mixing plant or directly into the concrete truck for smaller batches, with mixing time appropriately extended.
-
Concrete containing Richlam200 should be poured in accordance with relevant standards, and moisture curing should be conducted promptly for no less than 14 days after final setting.
Precautions
-
Do not add Richlam200 directly into finished concrete.
-
Ensure the concrete mix temperature is above 5ºC when adding Richlam200.
-
tore Richlam200 in a dry environment with a shelf life of 12 months.
Safety Instructions
This product becomes alkaline when mixed with water or sweat and may cause irritation. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes, and do not inhale liquid or vapor. Wear long-sleeved clothing, safety goggles, and protective gloves during handling. Keep out of reach of children.
