Product Overview

Richlam700 Acrylic Waterproof Emulsion is a high-performance polymer emulsion that, when added to concrete or mortar, creates polymer-modified concrete or mortar. This modified material exhibits excellent bonding, crack resistance, freeze-thaw durability, waterproofing, and anti-corrosion properties. The emulsion distributes evenly over fine aggregates, forming a cohesive network that seals capillary pores, significantly enhancing the overall performance of concrete and mortar.

Product Features

Compared to ordinary mortar, Richlam700 Acrylic Waterproof Emulsion-modified cement mortar offers the following benefits:

  1. Increases tensile and flexural strength by 35% and 50% respectively, with freeze-thaw resistance >D300.

  2. Improves ultimate elongation by 1-3 times, reduces elastic modulus, and significantly enhances crack resistance.

  3. Boosts bonding strength to concrete substrates and steel by over 4 times.

  4. Enhances density, reducing 2-day water absorption by 10 times and improving impermeability by 1.5 times, while increasing chloride ion penetration resistance by 8 times.

  5. Excellent aging resistance, with performance similar to ordinary cement mortar after 2160 hours of accelerated UV aging.

  6. Resistant to 2% sulfuric acid, less than 5% hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, and hydrofluoric acid, and resists ammonia, acetic acid, benzene, and other chemicals, meeting GB50046-2008 industrial anti-corrosion design standards.

Technical Principles

Richlam700 Acrylic Waterproof Emulsion modifies concrete/mortar through polymer film formation and microstructural changes:

  1. Sealing Capillary Pores: The polymer film blocks internal pores, reducing permeability and enhancing waterproofing.

  2. Improving Crack Resistance: The film fills hydration product pores, improving stress distribution and crack resistance.

  3. Enhancing Bonding: Polymer molecules form bridges with hydration products, greatly enhancing adhesion to substrates and preventing delamination.

Application Fields
  1. Seepage Control: Dam panels, sluice gates, docks, tunnels, bridge decks, and water channels.

  2. Anti-Corrosion: Industrial floors in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, grain storage, and salt warehouses.

  3. Impact Resistance: Bus station roofs, airport runways, toll booths, parking lots, and urban underpasses.

  4. Building Waterproofing: Basements, roofs, pools, tunnels, sewage treatment tanks, and hazardous material pools.

  5. Thin Surface Repairs: Bridge decks, parking lots, dam spillways, pier faces, and dock panels for defect repairs and anti-carbonation.

Usage Instructions
  1. Mix Ratio: Determined on-site; generally, cement: sand: Acrylic Admix: water = 1: (2-2.5): (0.1-0.2): (0.2-0.25), adjusting water for desired consistency, with a flow of 180-200mm.

  2. Dosage: Use 10% of the cement weight in the mix.

  3. Layer Thickness: Typically 10-20mm, depending on specific project requirements.

  4. Curing: Cure the emulsion-modified mortar for at least 7 days post-final set.

Precautions
  1. Use within 30-45 minutes after mixing.

  2. Do not add water during application.

  3. Avoid application in rain or strong winds (above force 5).

  4. Winter: Apply above 5ºC, with the substrate temperature above 0ºC.

  5. Summer: Avoid application above 35ºC or under direct sunlight.

  6. Protect uncured mortar from water, rain, and foot traffic.

Safety Instructions

This product is alkaline and can be corrosive. Avoid direct contact with skin and eyes, and do not inhale the liquid. Wear long-sleeved clothing, goggles, and protective gloves during application. Keep out of reach of children.
